Hello, My name is Anouk. I’m a student at Batley art college, studying a foundation degree in Art and Design, hoping to go to Norwich university next year to study fine art. I don’t think I’ve especially been born with an amazing talent for art, but I like to think that there is more in it than just talent, you have to be able to be open to try new ideas and to expirement aswell as taking in others opinions, to know what your strong points and weak points are, and how to use them. Those are all things that I think I am good at, so there is hope for me yet! After a BA i’d like to do an MA in teaching. I play saxophone and am working towards my grade 8, which I am (without sounding bigheaded) extremely proud of. I ride horses and have my own pony who is called Freckles and is a bit of a penis really, but I adore him. I also work at Primark.
I am incredibly stubborn, like a deaf donkey (good use of alliteration), and I like to get things my way. Lately I have learnt that that does not always work out for the better. I like to think I’m quite a caring person. I don’t think anyone should feel sad and like to try my best to make them happier. That makes me sound like I’m boasting, which I’m not, it’s as much of a fault as it is a positive. 

I like - cotton candy, fairground rides, theme parks, thrills, cups of tea, sex, vodka and lemonades, fake fur, sturdy shoes, thick knitted items of clothing, curly hair, collages, listening to music whilst lying on my bed doing nothing, greys anatomy, scrubs, good movies, did I mention cups of tea?, dungarees, flowers, flower pressing, handmade stuff, christmas, summer, nailpolish, books, a lot of book, jaffa cakes, cooking & baking, smoothies or milkshakes, festivals, coffee (but not as much as tea), sketchbooks when they’re all filled up and thick and messy, mess, singing anywhere all the time, photo’s in frames, old victorian houses with beams on the roof, the dark, carpeted rooms, naked cuddles, and thick bed covers.

I dislike - Over eating, expensive clothes, pickyness, loud noises, bright lights, public toilets, getting buses on my own to places I don’t know, when my computer goes slow, pencils that aren’t sharp, umbrellas without cases, ipods that just die all the time, trends, music stands (they always fall over), tea without milk, tea with sugar, brown toast, the smell of cider and cider in general, crowded places, cars that speed, and slippy wooden floors.
